2023 Racing Team

The SCYYRA Board of Directors is proud to announce the 2023 SCYYRA Racing Team. The hard work and dedication to junior sailing by these sailors has paid off, as they join a long list of junior sailors that have gone on to accomplish great things in the sport of sailing. SCYYRA sailors go on the College Sailing, Olympic Sailing, National and International One Design, US Championships, and much more.

SCYYRA Team members are required to attend the SCYYRA Clinic in December as an opportunity to advance personal skills and mentor the next generation of sailors.

SCYYRA Advanced Racing Clinic Applications Open

Application Form

Apply by November 18 to be considered to attend the December 3-4, 2022 SCYYRA Winter Advanced Training Clinic at the US Sailing Center - Long Beach. Members of the 2021 and 2022 SCYYRA Sailing Teams and other experienced participants in the SCYYRA Shadden, Ullman, Frost, Hamlin and Perry Series’ as well as other SoCal High School sailors that have been involved in serious C420, CFJ, 29er, ILCA 7 or ILCA 6 programs. This is an advanced clinic and we will be accepting applications based on age (must be at least in the 8th grade), experience and skill level. Please complete the application online by November 18, 2022. We will publish the list of accepted sailors on the SCYYRA Website by or before Sunday evening November 20, 2022.
