SCYYRA Advanced Racing Clinic Applications Open

Application Form

Apply by November 18 to be considered to attend the December 4-5, 2021 SCYYRA Winter Advanced Training Clinic at the US Sailing Center - Long Beach. Members of the 2019 and 2020 SCYYRA Sailing Teams, and other experienced participants in the Shadden, Ullman, Frost, and Perry Series', and SoCal High School sailors involved in serious C420, CFJ, Laser or Laser Radial programs are invited to apply. This is an advanced clinic and we will be accepting applications based on age (should be at least in the 8th grade), experience, and skill level. Accepted sailors will be published here by Sunday evening, November 21.

Sailors in Southern California can now apply for the SCYYRA advanced Racing Team. The SCYYRA team today will become some of the top sailors of tomorrow in everything from Club Sailing to the America's Cup. Check out the deep history of SCYYRA teams on the team page.

• Refer to the Matrix when filling out your app. Choose your top 5 regattas thoughtfully.
• Submit the application by October 20, 2021. NO late entries are accepted.

Note, one historic requirement of being on the SCYYRA team is to attend the SCYYRA Clinic to mentor the next generation. Remember how you were inspired by an older sailor when you were just getting your feet wet!
