Apply by November 17 to be considered to attend the December 7-8, 2024 SCYYRA Winter Advanced Training Clinic at the US Sailing Center - Long Beach. Members of the 2023 and 2024 SCYYRA Sailing Teams and other experienced participants in the SCYYRA Shadden, Ullman, Frost, Hamlin and Perry Series’ as well as other SoCal High School sailors that have been involved in serious C420, CFJ, 29er, ILCA 7 or ILCA 6 programs. This is an advanced clinic and we will be accepting applications based on age (must be at least in the 8th grade), experience and skill level. Please complete the application online by November 17. We will publish the list of accepted sailors on the SCYYRA Website by or before Wednesday evening November 20, 2024.
Sailors in Southern California can now apply for the SCYYRA Advanced Racing Team. The SCYYRA Team today will become some of the top sailors of tomorrow in everything from Club Sailing to the America's Cup. Check out the deep history of SCYYRA teams on the team page.

Congratulations to San Diego Yacht Club for winning the Dick Sweet Series this summer. Theo Card, Ronan Servais, Fenton Wallace, and Celeste Stout were the members of the winning team.
Mission Bay Yacht Club's team of Braden Ozarski, Sean Kaseburg, and Santiago Escobar placed second and Newport Harbor Yacht Club's team of Will Ramsay, Colin Kennedy, Cole Silsby, and Piercen Giordani placed third.
Congratulations to Kevin Cason and Holland Vierling, from San Diego Yacht Club, who won the 2023-2024 Hamlin Series! Wills Stratton and Ronan Curnyn from Del Rey Yacht Club and San Diego Yacht Club earned the second place trophy, and Olympia Barelli and Maribelle Barelli of San Diego Yacht Club placed third in the series. Thank you to all of our Hamlin competitors and to Santa Barbara Yacht Club for hosting our final event, and congratulations to our trophy winners!
Miles Gordon of JK Sailing SCCYC is our 2024 SCYYRA Carrie Series champion. This year the final event (Carrie #6 - The Wedge Regatta / Ken Hoover Memorial) was hosted by Balboa YC.
