SAILING INSTRUCTOR COURSES
It’s not too early to start planning for that summer job. If you plan on coaching you should consider taking care of your Level 1 or Level 2 Class early so there will be no problems come June when those juniors arrive. SCYYRA already has several classes booked and if there is sufficient demand we can add more Level 1’s or add a Level 2 class. All US SAILING Championships (Sears/Bemis/Smythe, Youth Champs, Ida Lewis, Leiter, etc) require a valid/current Level 2 certification for all private coaches.
Candidates need to have a current CPR/First Aid certificate and a NASBLA Approved CA safe boating class. This must be done on your own before your certification will be issued. I highly recommend completing it prior to your class’s start date.
