1. Regatta Host Clubs & Dates:

Perry #1 CBYC Sept. 23-24, 2006
Perry #2 SDYC November 11-12, 2006
Perry #3 Coronado YC January 20-21, 2007
Perry #4 USSCLB March 11, 2007
(one day event)

2. Eligibility, Entry & Entry Fee

2.1 Each participant shall be under 21 years of age during the entire series and must be a member of an SCYA or SCYYRA club.

2.2
Entries for the 2006-2007 Perry Series must be filed with the Perry Series Chairman along with entry fee for the series.  An entry must also be completed for each individual regatta in accordance with the Notice of Race for each event.

2.2.1 A participant may enter the 2006-2007 Perry Series at the first or second scheduled regatta but no later than the start of the first race of the second regatta.

2.3 There will be a $30.00 Perry Series entry fee payable to SCYYRA.

3. Class Membership

One crewmember on each boat must be a member in good standing of the Club 420 Class.  For general and class membership information, contact the Club 420 Class at www.club420.org.

4. Rules

4.1 Each regatta will be governed by The Racing Rules of Sailing, the prescriptions of US Sailing, The Perry Series Standing Rules as published in the 2006 SCYYRA Year Book; the Club 420 Class Rules; this Notice of Race and Sailing Instructions issued by each club.

4.2 The decision of the jury or protest committee is final.

5. Scoring

5.1 The Low Point Scoring System, rule A2, will apply with 20 or more races scheduled. A DNC will be based on the total number of entries in the Perry Series. A DNF, DSQ and DNS will be based on the total number of Perry Series starters in each individual regatta.

5.2 Throwout races will be incorporated into the series scoring with the following formulas:

If 14-15 races are completed, there will be 1 throw out.
If 16-17 races are completed, there will be 2 throw outs.
If 18-19 races are completed, there will be 3 throw outs.
If 20 or more races are completed, there will be 4 throw outs.

5.3 Sail number changes in any regatta must be reported to and approved by the Perry Series Chairman (or representative) and reported to the race committee prior to the skippers meeting for that regatta for those races to be scored in the Perry Series.
